We were delighted to receive the news that former student, Adriana Brownlee, became the second youngest woman in the UK to reach the summit of Mount Everest last summer.
This remarkable achievement builds on the many Adriana accomplished while still a student at Tiffin Girls'. While completing her A-Level studies she climbed Mount Elbrus, Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua in Argentina.
Adriana is now a student at Bath University, although she put her studies on hold this year to join the team with which she then reached the summit of Everest. Sadly, poor weather put paid to the team’s hopes of then climbing Lhotse, the peak that lies to the south of Everest.
Her ambitions now include being the youngest, fastest female to climb 14 summits above 8,000m and her effort is well underway. We look forward to sharing her experiences with you.
